Summer Reading 2011

Saddle Up and Read @ Your Library

A loud YEE-HAW is coming from the Blackfoot Public Library!  It is all the “Library Deputies” who are putting on their badges and polishing their boots to get ready for summer reading!!  The theme is “Saddle Up and Read @ Your Library.

During the program, “deputies” can earn or win “loot” by searching out “Wanted” members of the community!  Make sure you have a good horse to gallop around the town and find these “infamous” characters!  Our “deputies” can also try their hand at “branding!”  There are plenty of ways to earn prizes just for readin’ up a storm!  We will even throw in a prize you can earn just by visiting the library! Every day there will be opportunities for greenhorns and wranglers alike to lasso some summer fun!

Come join all the Library Deputies at the Blackfoot Public Library and Saddle up and Read this summer! We know that libraries and kids go together like horses and saddles!

If you have questions, gallop on in or give us a holler at 785-8628!

Summer Reading is brought to you in part by Read to Me, a service of the Idaho Commission for Libraries.

Read to Me is an early literacy initiative which provides information, training, technical assistance, and resources for Idaho libraries and their community partners. Find out more at http://libraries.idaho.gov/readtome.
