New Display: CALLIGRAPHY
Spring is a time of new beginnings. Why not begin a new hobby? Come in to the library and see the new display promoting art and calligraphy! When you check out one of the displayed books you will receive a fun calligraphy surprise. This display will be up until May 31st.
We would love to see your Calligraphy Creations and share them online! To participate in “Calligraphy Creations Online,” take your creation to the library and have one of our fabulous staff members take a picture no later than June 1st.
DIY Story Time: DINOSAURS
Our current DIY Storytime kit theme is DINOSAURS! Your kit will include: 4 books related to dinosaurs, 2 craft projects to make at home, 1 coloring page and an edible treat. We are sure these kits will spark an interest in learning more about dinosaurs.
One of my all time favorite series for young readers is The Magic Tree House by Mary Pope Osborne. The first book in that series is titled, Dinosaurs Before Dark making it a great read for our current story time theme! I also stumbled upon a nonfiction “companion” to Dinosaurs Before Dark, written by Mary Pope Osborne along with her husband Will. Both of these T-RAWR-FIC titles are available at the Blackfoot Public Library!
Listen to Mary Pope Osborne read from Dinosaurs Before Dark and answer questions from real readers like you!
Please call us at 208-785-8628 if you have questions or would like more details.
YAY! The wait is over…Blackfoot Public Library is open to the public again!
Which is Better- Book or Movie? You get to be the judge…In April- June you can check out book and movie matching titles. Then, head over to Facebook and vote on whether you like the book or movie better. Your vote enters you in a drawing that, if you win, entitles you to a buy one/get one free Blackfoot Movie Mill pass!
In December the Blackfoot Public Library is promoting the “Library Elf”- hurry in and sign up!
