Library Board of Trustees
The Blackfoot Public Library has a Library Board that governs the Library. There are 5 members who serve on the City Board and 5 members who serve on the District Board.
City Board members are appointed by the Mayor and approved by City Council; they serve a 5-year term. These Board members must live within the City limits.
District Board members are elected and serve a 6-year term. Elections take place in May of odd-numbered years. These Board members must live within the Blackfoot Rural Library District. All Board Members serve without pay.
The City Board and the District Board come together to serve under Bylaws for a Joint Library Board. Board members are eager to hear any input, questions, or concerns you may have!
